Makita recently released the 18-volt LXT and 12-volt max CXT lithium-ion cordless coffee maker for those desiring (or requiring) coffee on the jobsite. The company says the DCM501Z also delivers:
- The power to brew up to three 5-ounce cups of coffee on a single charge of an 18-volt LXT 5-Ah battery (sold separately).
- The inclusion of a measuring spoon, removable tank and Makita coffee mug with a lid.
- Ease of use—no paper filters are needed, just your favorite ground coffee or single-serve pack, water, and a Makita 18-volt LXT or 12-volt maximum CXT lithium-ion battery.
- Compatibility with the 18-volt LXT system, one of the largest cordless tool systems powered by 18-volt lithium-ion slide-style batteries, for fast charge times, and protection against overloading, over-discharging and overheating with Star Protection Computer Controls, a communication technology that permits the exchange of tool and battery data in real time to monitor conditions during use.
- Operation with Makita 12-volt max CXT lithium-ion slide-style batteries to optimize balance and ergonomics over pod-style batteries, while offering protection against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating due to a battery protection circuit.
