I experimented—up to a point—with the new service in Memphis, Tennessee, called Lawn Love, which provides grass mowing, leaf removal or other yard services with the touch of a mobile app or click on the website.
Lawn Love claims to do for yard maintenance what Uber and Lyft do for getting a ride: Make it easy.
So I logged into LawnLove.com and filled in a few blanks, mainly: Name, address, email and phone number. I selected the services I wanted: Mow the yard on October 31, and on December 4, collect and bag the leaves, putting the bags on the curb.
Within five minutes, Lawn Love sent an email saying that, on those dates, a lawn service would cut and edge my yard for $58 and bag the leaves for $211.
