Bobcat Co.'s ZT5000 zero-turn won Green Industry Pros' 2024 Mower Madness competition, a virtual social media event modeled after the NCAA Basketball March Madness Tournament.
In the final game, which took place April 8, the ZT5000 garnered more votes over Toro's ZMaster 4000 W/ MyRide to take home the championship. The final four included Toro and Bobcat Co., along with John Deere's QuikTrak Q850R Stand-On and Exmark's Lazer Z V-Series.
The annual competition allows Green Industry Pros' social media audience to decide on their favorite mower for the year.
The champion
The ZT5000 features a durable, 23.5-hp Kawasaki engine for reliable starts, smooth power output and ground speeds up to 11 mph. The Hydro-Gear ZT-3800 hydrostatic transaxles deliver smooth and steady power for precise operator control and highly productive mowing performance. It's equipped with an AirFX cutting system with a deep-deck design and air-gap baffles that increases vacuum, lifting grass to the blade.The ZT5000 is available with two cutting deck sizes: a 52-inch or 61-inch deck.
