Manitou and GEHL have entered the Stand-on Track Loader market, unveiling the Manitou 1050 SRT and the GEHL SRT105 at Equip Expo.

These all-new SRT’s are designed for landscapers, tree care services and equipment rental customers looking for a durable and stable compact loader that can perform several tasks. The chassis of the 1050 SRT and SRT105, integrates the proven IdealTrax™, automatic track tensioning system, exclusive to Manitou and GEHL RT and VT Series track loaders. This feature allows proper tension to be automatically applied to the stand-on loader at all times, from start up to shut down, which in turn extends track life by 15%, eliminates manual grease-gun tension adjustments in the field, and provides more machine stability while operating. This unique feature alone makes the SRT stand out from competitor models, optimizing this machine for longevity and rough terrain performance.

Each unit is powered by a 23.2 hp (17.3 kW) Yanmar turbo diesel engine, with top class travel speeds up to 5.3 mph (8.5 kph) to quickly move across jobsites and fast cycle times to maximize productivity. The radial lift arm design delivers exceptional breakout forces,  lift up to 3,802 lbs. and tilt up to 2,711 lbs., with low ground pressure needed for heavy-duty digging, grading, backfilling, dumping and more prying power.

Brad Boehler, President— Manitou Group North America:

“We are excited to launch our New SRT Stand-on Loaders to the North American market. We’ve been asked to design a Stand-on Loader for several years, and after thorough testing and very positive customer feedback, we have a product that will shake up the industry, delivering on high performance, reliability and exclusive features only from Manitou and GEHL. It has been rewarding to watch our teams develop this project from the ground up and now with the product release we are ready to capture new market share in this growing segment for our Dealers and Rental Partners.”

Rated operating capacities for the SRT loaders are 1,050 lbs. (476 kg) at 35% tipping load and 1,500 lbs. (680 kg) at 50% tipping load with a height to hinge pin at 86.1 inches for low sided trailer loading. The machine operating weight is only 3,430 lbs., allowing for easy transportation on a trailer, leaving plenty of room and capacity to load-up a few attachments.

Versatility and Manitou Group Attachments

To meet the demand for equipment rental, landscapers, tree care professionals and contractors Manitou Group offers several mini stand-on loader attachments to pair with the Manitou 1050 SRT and GEHL SRT105. This full attachment lineup includes; heavy-duty log grapples, root rakes, power rakes, high-torque stump grinders, mowers, trenchers, augers, brooms, breakers, snowblowers, buckets, blades and more. The machine features a CII attachment plate compatible with most mini loader attachments and there is also a skid/CTL adapter plate available to utilize skid/track loader attachments that are already on the jobsite. A unique feature on the SRTs is the selectable auxiliary hydraulic max flow. This allows operators to select the exact hydraulic flow required by the attachment, from 25% to 100%, in just a few clicks within the machine’s display menu to optimize attachment performance.

Additional SRT Stand-on Loader Exclusives

In addition to IdealTrax™, the SRTs come standard with a few other exclusive innovations, focusing on uptime and safety. Trailer loading and steep ramps are among the highest-risk moments on a jobsite. The exclusive fold-up platform allows the operator to flip up the platform floor and guide the machine on foot at a reduced speed when loading onto trailers. This means operators no longer have to stand on the equipment at steep angles while loading onto a truck bed. They can walk comfortably behind the unit at a capped speed of 1.2 mph (2 km/h) while maintaining full joystick control over steering and boom lift.

Another Manitou Group exclusive on the SRTs is creep mode with a selectable power boost. Creep mode delivers full auxiliary hydraulic horsepower while allowing precise, millimeter-level ground speed control when powering high demand attachments, such as stump grinders, snowblowers, trenchers etc. This helps the operator adjust ground speed to the application, ground slope or jobsite terrain, while maintaining full power to the attachment. Once the ground speed is locked in, a boost can be selected to momentarily increase speed when needed.

Customers Asked for it

Driven by direct feedback from landscapers and tree professionals, the new Stand-on Loader features multiple integrated solutions to carry your tools, accessories, and gear. This includes a standard integrated SRT toolbox built on the left side of the machine chassis, creating the ability to haul larger tools, hammers, and grease guns inside the machine. Coming in 2027, and shown on display at Equip Expo, Manitou Group has designed optional side storage bins and are large enough to carry diesel cans, oil, tools, bags and other accessories. And taking it a step further they’ve even developed a chainsaw mount that fits into a cup holder compartment, to safely carry a chainsaw along with the operator to tackle any branch/tree cutting along the way. Other customizable options are long tool holders to carry shovels and rakes, and a protective operators shield to add extra protection while working with high powered attachments.

“Stand-on Loaders are heavily used in landscaping and tree care maintenance applications,” said Aaron Milleville, SRT Product Manager. “We wanted to create something adaptable for these industries, where operators could haul everything they need; gas cans, grease guns, oil cans, hammers, chainsaws, you name it. After working with our teams, we developed just that; customized storage bins, long tool holders, created a chainsaw mount, and added a toolbox inside our machine, to help operators work more efficiently without taking multiple trips back to the truck in order to grab a saw to cut a log, or take a quick break to refuel.”

Tool-Free Access to Serviceability

Extra attention was placed on serviceability in the new SRT design, offering tool-free quick access along with grouping system components together to optimize maintenance checks. The side and rear panels can be lifted off and removed, providing direct access to all major components. This includes a lockable electrical panel that houses all fuses, relays, and battery disconnect in one place at the rear of the machine.

A new unique feature found only in the SRT is a quick-drop belly pan cleanout that happens with the pull of a lever, to easily hose out and clear all chassis debris to keep it clean and functioning. This feature also makes oil changes easy to perform from the top down without crawling under the unit, accessing the filter by removing one bolt on panel.

Operator Centric Control Station

The SRT operator control station features ergonomic knee padding to reduce fatigue on long trips and responsive joysticks with grip bars for operator comfort and precise control. A high-visibility 5” color screen displays all machines functions including, hour meter, fuel, selected flow auxiliary hydraulics, creep mode, and even IdealTrax™ can be controlled within the display menu. The platform is integrated with a full operator presence system, which triggers auto idle and auto stop on the machine for increased fuel efficiency. There is also a 12V power port to charge and utilize power tools along with 2 cup holders within the work station.

High-output front and adjustable rear work lights come standard, providing 360 degree LED visibility. This allows machine operation to continue at night and when low light is present. The rear lights can be rotated outward to illuminate the left and right sightlines of the jobsite and can be adjusted as necessary.

The SRTs will be offered in two packages our “Classic” package and “Platinum” package for end-users. The main additions on the platinum packages include HydraGlide™ comfort ride suspension system on the GEHL SRT105 or the Comfort Ride Control for Manitou 1050 SRT, an exclusive feature for a smoother ride, by absorbing shocks for the operator and prevents the lift arm from bouncing to minimize bucket spillage. And the platinum package includes a 14-pin connection for customers needing comprehensive attachment compatibility.

Manitou Groups “Connected Machines” telematics system also provides instant access to recent activity, operation codes, CAN data and service alerts. Owners/operators stay connected on-the-go with the myManitou and myGEHL mobile apps, where they can monitor machine location, fuel levels, operating hours, and set geofences for added control and security. They have fast access to key documents like the operator’s manual directly from their device. For fleet and business management, EasyMANAGER is a robust management tool—track service intervals, pinpoint machine locations, and quickly identify diagnostic codes, all from one centralized platform.

Manitou Group also offers special financing programs, extended coverage options in addition to the SRT 2 year / 2,000-hour warranty, and a comprehensive product offering of skid steers, CTLs, fixed telehandlers, rotating telehandlers, MEWPS and forklifts to pair with the new stand-on loaders, for businesses, rental operations and owner/operators throughout North America.
