The Boss XL is equipped with a 60- or 72-inch deck, and is powered by a 27-hp Kohler or 35-hp Kawasaki engine and Hydro-Gear’s ZT-5400 Powertrain Drive System. Country Clipper says pros can mow up to 9 acres per hour with speeds up to 12.5 mph.
Additionally, Country Clipper says professionals can ride in comfort all day with the deluxe suspension seat, featuring adjustable lumbar support, back and seat cushion angles, 3-inch travel suspension and vibration isolator mounting.
The Boss XL also offers two unique features: joystick steering and a stand-up deck. The “Point & Go” joystick steering leaves you with a free hand to move low-hanging limbs or enjoy your favorite beverage. The more traditional twin-lever steering is also available. The stand-up deck gives you easy access to the underside of the deck for routine service and cleaning.
