With an aerospace-designed chassis contributing to low weight and a low center of gravity, Mean Green says its CXR zero-turn performs well on level terrain and sloping hills while still providing cutting heights up to 5 inches on its fully adjustable floating deck. Plus, with zero fuel, oil and hydrostatic systems, and minimal routine maintenance, the CXR will save you around $8 per hour compared to a similar gas-engine mower, the company assures.
New for 2016 is the compatible ZTR Blast Blower attachment. This battery-powered, independently operated unit is capable of attaching to any zero-turn mower, including the Mean Green CXR-52 and CXR-60, along with any ride-on spreader or other mobility vehicle. The ZTR Blast Blower produces 410-510 cfm and 120-150 mph.
Additional key features of the CXR zero-turn mowers include:
- Powered by Mean Green pure Green Lithium Energy Modules
- 36 peak horsepower
- 52- or 60-inch deck
- Reportedly cuts up to 12 acres (seven hours) per charge
- Recharging time of two to four hours
- Battery life of 1,500 charge cycles
- 7-gauge steel chassis and a welded steel deck
- 5/8-inch-thick lower deck edge
- Patent pending “Chaos” mulching deck and two-speed mower blade function
- Multiple angular bends and lightening holes borrowed from the aerospace industry make for the lightest, strongest, commercial electric mower on the market today
