Zero-Turn Smart Controller Offers a Wealth of User Data

Exmark released a Smart Controller to provide a more robust operator interface for select zero-turns.

Exmark recently released a Smart Controller for select 2018 Lazer Z S-Series commercial zero-turn riding mowers. Designed to provide a more robust operator interface and reduce downtime, the Smart Controller is further characterized by:

A wealth of user data, including interlock status, total hours, fuel levels, maintenance reminders and machine health status.
A single LED status light to notify the operator if a malfunction occurs—a green light indicates the system is functioning properly and a red light indicates an active error, whereas an alternating green/orange light indicates a clutch reset is required.
On-screen alerts for fuel level, engine temperature, oil pressure, charging system status and power take-off clutch overcurrent/reset.
A limp-mode feature to disable the cutting system in the event of a critical system error or to prevent permanent damage to the machine.
The ability to work with mechanically governed Kohler electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines, replacing the traditional hour meter on other machines.
Extensive weatherproofing to ensure dependable operation in any condition.
The choice of a 52-, 60- or 72-inch UltraCut Series 4 cutting deck on models with Kohler EFI gasoline engines, or a 60- or 72-inch UltraCut Series 4 cutting deck on EFI propane models.
