Beaver Dam, WI-based United Cooperative is offering E15 (15% ethanol, 85% gasoline) at 10 of its Cenex gas stations throughout Wisconsin. According to the Renewable Fuels Association, this brings the total to 75 stations in 12 states are offering E15. Those states are:
- Wisconsin
- Minnesota
- Illinois
- Kansas
- Nebraska
- South Dakota
- North Dakota
- Iowa
- Michigan
- North Carolina
- Ohio
- Arkansas
OPEI has relentlessly warned against the potential dangers that E15 poses to small engine-powered equipment. A consumer education campaign was rolled out this past fall.
United Cooperative’s convenience stores also offer mid-level blends including E30 and E85, which are available for use in flex-fuel vehicles.
