Dozens of Wichita, Kansas kids are using their spring break to learn how to operate their own lawn mowing business.
The Sedgwick County Extension Office, and the City of Wichita's Park and Recreation Department teamed up for the first time to host a youth lawn mowing clinic at Lynette Woodard Recreation Center.
"We have a variety of kids from fourth grade all the way to eight grade. What's nice is being able to bring it to the middle of the community, and be able to hit a variety of diversity groups, socioeconomic groups and be able to offer it right here in this neighborhood," said Lynette Woodard Recreation Director Angela Buckner.
The clinic focused on mower safety, mower maintenance, basic lawn care and business skills. About 25 youth completed the course.
