Makita Intros 40V Max XGT Brushless 18-inch Chainsaw

Makita is offering the 40V max XGT brushless 18-inch chainsaw (GCU04Z) for landscaping, land clearing, forestry and trimming applications.

With zero emissions, low noise and less maintenance, the GCU04Z chainsaw is powered by one 40V XGT 5.0Ah battery and features a Makita-built brushless motor. This tool is equivalent to a 42-cc gas chainsaw.

The GCU04Z has an 18-inch guide bar and Makita-built motor with a variable-speed trigger that delivers 0-5,020 fpm for powerful cutting speed. There's no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace and no air filter or muffler to clean and no need to drain the fuel for storage.

• Extreme protection technology (XPT) engineered for dust and water resistance
• Lateral chain tensioning with dual stud for chain retention
• Captured bar nuts is retained in sprocket cover
• Variable speed trigger and high chain speed (0-5,020 fpm) for cutting performance
