Western says its MVP 3 V-plow provides a whole new slant on V-plow performance and durability.
“The MVP 3 blends the best features from the MVP Plus V-plow with added performance and durability capabilities to enhance overall productivity and reliability,” says Doug Clark, Western Products product manager. “We have also introduced a flared blade design, which takes the center height on the 9.5-foot models from 31 inches up to 39 inches at the outer edge.”
Blades are available in 7'6", 8'6" and 9-foot widths in either powder-coated steel, stainless steel or poly material. The enhanced center hinge features three connection points for added strength. A larger 1.25-inch-diameter, heat-treated center pin means more durability.
“The MVP 3 is equipped with our ultra-fast hydraulics to maximize efficiency, and offers trip-edge protection in all blade configurations to help avoid losing your load if you hit a bump or obstacle,” Clark adds.
Other standard MVP 3 V-plow features include:
- Standard UltraLock double-acting cylinders hold the wings firmly in place for clean back-dragging while allowing operators to lock both wings together to more easily maneuver the plow as a straight blade
- Western Fleet Flex electrical system for true fleet interchangeability with programmable features like soft-stop, one-touch float and the Security Guard anti-theft system
- UltraMount 2 mounting system with its one-piece frame design for added strength and durability, providing simpler mechanical hook-up with an exclusive rotating pivot bar for accurate drive-in alignment on uneven terrain
