FOX21 spoke to Lawnsmith, a company that does lawn maintenance, groundskeeping, parking lot sweeping, and ice and snow management in southern Colorado. The company said it's not worried about the lack of snow affecting its business, even though ice and snow management are about half of its yearly business.

"It's wonderful when it snows," owner and operator Margi Bellingham said. "We love the snow. But it is doable when it's not snowing."

The Bellinghams said a similar lack of snow and moisture in 2002 caused them to get creative in thinking of new ways to bring in business and revenue. That's when the company added parking lot sweeping to its list of jobs offered.

"We're able to focus a lot on that part of the company right now," Lawnsmith president Keith Bellingham said. "That's a service that we do 12 months per year."
