Beet Heet is an organic-based, corrosion-inhibited, liquid deicer containing a highly refined carbohydrate concentrate, two exothermic chlorides and two non-exothermic chlorides. K-Tech Specialty Coatings, Inc. says their product contains refined "sugared" sugar beet molasses, which contains two to four times more sugar than "desugared" beet juice, and doesn't have pulp, sludge or a bad smell.
The company offers Beet Heet Concentrate and Beet Heet Severe.

- In tests run by K-Tech Specialty Coatings, Beet Heet Concentrate- and Beet Heet Severe-treated salt melted 48-65% more ice than untreated salt at 25° F and used 32-39% less salt to melt the same amount of ice
