John Deere’s February retail sales offered a mixed bag:
Utility tractor sales were up better than the industry average of 15%. January inventories were also lower than the industry average of 46% of previous year’s sales.
Four-wheel-drive tractor sales were down double-digits while industry sales were down only 1%. January inventories were slightly lower than the industry average of 15% of previous year’s sales.
Combines were up strongly, although slightly less than industry average of 34%. January inventories were slightly lower than the industry average of 13% of previous year’s sales.
Turf equipment showed double-digit growth.
