Suit Alleges Herbicide Caused Man's Parkinson's Disease

A man alleges he developed Parkinson's disease from toxic substances in an herbicide.

Marvin Wendler and Lorena Wendler filed a complaint December 13 in St. Clair County Circuit Court in Illinois against Syngenta Crop Protection LLC, Chevron USA Inc., Growmark Inc. et al, alleging violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

According to the complaint, Marvin Wendler alleges he suffers from Parkinson's disease as a result of exposure to the defendants' paraquat, a toxic chemical that is widely used as an herbicide.

Marvin Wendler claims he suffers from physical pain, mental anguish, lost income and medical expenses. Lorena Wendler claims she has suffered loss of support and society of her husband.
