Rotary announces new appointments

Rotary adds Frank Gering, operations coordinator for European division and Curt Simmons, field product manager for the U.S. sales and marketing division to its team

Rotary Corporation has announced the addition of a purchasing and supply chain specialist for its European division and a new product manager for its U.S. sales and marketing division.

Frank Gering, who has 25 years of experience in logistics, procurement and sales administration, has been named operations coordinator of Rotary Europe.

Gering will be involved in purchasing and supply chain management for the company’s international operations team in Germany.

“Frank’s expertise will help us to continue the growth strategy of Rotary Europe,” said Michael Wicke, director of sales and service for the company’s European division. “He will be an important member of our management team as we expand and improve operations.”

Also joining Rotary is Curt Simmons who has been named field product manager for the company’s U.S. sales and marketing division.

Simmons has over 30 years of management experience in sales and service with Snapper and Briggs & Stratton. In his new position, Simmons will be responsible for product planning and development including the formulation of dealer strategy and product requirements to ensure revenue goals are achieved.

"Curt’s experience in product management, sales strategy, customer service and training initiatives will be an asset as we continue to grow and serve our independent dealer network,” commented Mark Smith, chief sales officer.

He said Simmons will work closely with the sales team to research and prioritize product offerings including customer requirements and dealer support.

“Our goal is to ensure that Rotary continually meets the parts needs of our servicing dealers with a focus on quality, value and technical / sales support,” Smith concluded.
