The lawn care company that Jim West started in the early 1980s in Owensboro, Kentucky, has mushroomed into a small empire.
He incorporated Evergreen Lawn Care in 1984, but the business is actually a couple of years older than that.
Today, West's son, Todd, and Rick Ebelhar have expanded the company, adding a Weed Man franchise in 2002, Everscapes Landscape Supply in 2006, Evergreen Pools in 2017 and Mosquito Joe this year.
Todd West, owner and general manager, is also a partner in Snow Business, which sells bulk road salt supplies.
