MLB all-star and world series champion will headline Jobber summit 2023
Jobber, provider of operations management software for home service businesses, named the headline speaker for its third annual and virtual conference Jobber Summit: Alex Rodriguez.

Profile Products hires a new chief human resources officer
Rebecca Young has joined the Profile Products team as chief human resources officer.

Rebecca will continue to build upon the positive employee culture with new initiatives that drive engagement and recognition.”
Young will be responsible for all human resource activities across Profile including employee attraction and retention, organization and talent development, compensation, benefits and recognition programs. Young holds more than 22 years of human resources experience, including 17 years at General Electric. Young held human resource roles of increasing responsibility in four different GE business units including Aviation, NBC Universal, GE Power and Water and GE Appliances. Recently she was the vice president of HR business operations at Bright Spring Health Services. She holds a master’s degree in human resource management and bachelor’s degree in psychology, both from Purdue University.
Altoz names new merchandising manager
Altoz a manufacturer of outdoor power equipment and the industry's first tracked mowers and tracked compact tool carrier, added Mike Lane to the team as the events and merchandising manager.
"Mike will be a great asset to our team as we continue to grow. Altoz is entering new segments of the outdoor power equipment industry with the recent introduction of the multiseasonal Switch compact tool carrier,” said Altoz Sales and Marketing Director Karl Bjorkman . “We will be attending more and a broader range of industry events that Mike will coordinate. Mike will also develop and oversee in-store merchandising efforts at dealerships, which will strengthen the presence of the Altoz brand and help dealers sell more Altoz products."
Mike's responsibilities will include managing Altoz events, industry trade shows and corporate and dealer events. He will also oversee merchandising efforts for the brand. Mike has more than 30 years of experience in the power sports industry where he worked with dealerships to develop merchandising strategies that maximized their showroom potential.
Ruppert Landscaping promotes 5 new employees
Ruppert Landscape recently promoted Ethan Brown and Melissa Dunk to the position of region manager in the company's landscape management division. Martin Sanchez. Cole Stoy and Ryan Rote have also been promoted to branch manager.
Brown holds an associate degree in landscape and turf management and a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from Virginia Tech. Prior to joining the company, he gained 10 years of experience in the construction and excavation industries and two years of experience as an enhancement manager within the landscape industry.
"In Ethan’s three years as branch manager, he has been known for leading his team with record-breaking profit performance as well as building a strong team with the lowest employee turnover in the division,” said Fred Key, regional vice president in Ruppert’s landscape management division. “We look forward to the continued growth and leadership that Ethan will bring to the region and the branches he will be working with.”
Dunk holds a degree in landscape contracting from SUNY Delhi and is a Maryland Licensed Pesticide Applicator, Certified Professional Horticulturist and Certified Landscape Technician. She has been in the landscape industry for more than 15 years, with experience as an account manager at other landscaping organizations before joining Ruppert in 2015 as an area manager.
“Our strong brand recognition in this market can be largely attributed to Melissa’s influence, and we look forward to continued growth in this market for many years to come under her leadership,” said Doug Halsey, region vice president in the company’s landscape management division.
Stoy joined Ruppert in 2017 as enhancement manager in Alexandria and quickly began setting division records for enhancement sales. That same year, he was presented with the company’s Branch Impact Award for his outstanding dedication and contributions to the organization.
“Cole is always willing to help lend a hand to other local branches with the development of their enhancement teams,” said Key. “He is adept at recruiting excellent industry talent and developing a network of subcontractors that enable the branch to continue to grow and produce outstanding results. We look forward to seeing him put those talents to use in his new role.”
Sanchez holds a bachelor’s degree in Agroecology from Penn State University and has been with Ruppert since 2011. Over the last decade, he has worked his way up through the ranks from assistant field manager, field manager, area manager, and most recently to associate branch manager. In 2019, he was presented with the company’s Branch Impact Award for his outstanding dedication and contributions to the organization.
“Martin’s superior work ethic and dedication to his team have brought him to this exciting new opportunity,” said Damien Barber, region manager in the company’s landscape management division. “We are eager to see the benefits that it brings to his personal career development and his impact on the branch’s growth goals.”
Finally, Rote has been promoted to branch manager in Frederick, Md. In this role, he will be responsible for the overall welfare of the branch, including the safety and development of its team, strategic planning and budgeting, training, customer service and day-to-day operations.
“I’m confident that, as branch manager, Ryan will continue to help strengthen the team with his vast production knowledge and his sense of humor,” said Halsey.
Albaugh names Bret Corbett product development manager, adds to marketing team
Albaugh promoted Bret Corbett to the role of product development manager of Turf & Ornamental. In this role, Corbett will be responsible for providing developmental, technical and marketing support to the Prime Source specialty products commercial team for all current and new product introductions.
“Bret has been a tremendous asset to the Prime Source team since joining the company in 2019,” said Tim Stoehr, vice president, development and marketing. “His technical, data development and agronomic skill, along with his understanding of the product development process made him a natural fit for this role.”
Albaugh also expanded its North American marketing team with the addition of Krystal Maldonado as marketing communications specialist. In this role, she will be developing communication programs to support Prime Source and Albaugh Canada.
“The addition of Bret and Krystal in these key roles is reflective of the growth Albaugh has experienced in North America in recent years, and of the commitment the company has made to supporting continued business growth and portfolio expansion in our North America region,” said Stoehr.
