Albaugh Acquires Corteva Agriscience’s Glyphosate Business
Albaugh acquired Corteva Agriscience’s straight-goods glyphosate business. The purchase includes intangible assets only used in Corteva's straight-goods glyphosate business throughout the world the only exception of Argentina.
Albaugh previously acquired Corteva’s glyphosate business in Europe.
“This latest acquisition of Corteva Agriscience’s glyphosate business is a perfect fit for Albaugh,” said Jens Thorsen, chief marketing officer of Albaugh. “This will expand our direct access to glyphosate markets in areas where we have not previously had a strong presence including such countries as Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia and Bolivia as well as supplementing our existing glyphosate offerings in the U.S., Canada and Brazil.”
With this acquisition, the company will expand its coverage of straight glyphosate DMA salt formulations and registrations globally. All glyphosate DMA salt registrations will be integrated into Albaugh’s existing regional sales structure.
Syngenta Grows with a New Head of Key Accounts and Midwest District Sales Manager
Syngenta added Tom Loecke as its new head of key accounts and appointed Troy Rippy as its new Midwest district sales manager within the turf and ornamentals businesses.
Loecke is going to manage six key account managers across the turf, ornamentals, professional pest management and consumer businesses. After graduating from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in agricultural studies, Loecke started his career in 1991 with a Syngenta legacy company as a crop protection territory manager. He began supporting Syngenta Professional Solutions in 1998 as a territory manager. In 2007, Loecke became the Midwest district sales manager for turf and ornamentals, a position he held until he began his new role this year.
Rippy will be leading a team of nine territory managers covering the central region of the U.S. Syngenta. Rippy is a graduate of Trine University where he received his bachelor's degree in marketing. Prior to being hired for Syngenta, he was a golf course superintendent at Eagle Glen Golf Course working with Simplot as a distributor sales representative. Since joining Syngenta in 2006 as a territory manager in Indiana and Northwest Ohio, Rippy has established a strong track record of customer focus and vast industry experience.
New Addition to the Boss Client Success Team
The Integra Group welcomed Katie Heck as an implementation specialist with the Boss Client Success Team.

In her role, Heck will work with companies in the landscape and snow removal industries to identify best practices that will allow them to get the most out of their Boss software and improve their operational and financial performance.
Heck also has 15 years of experience with Five Seasons Landscape Management in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. At Five Seasons, Heck served as the business manager. In that role, she managed the company’s onboarding and implementation of the software for their full-service landscape and snow removal operations.
Ruppert Landscape Opens a New Location in Tennessee and Hires a New Branch Manager
Ruppert Landscaping has launched a Tennessee branch, overseen by Marvin Clermont, who has recently been promoted to branch manager.
Clermont will oversee all planning, budgeting and personnel development in the branch and ensure customer satisfaction on all landscape construction projects within the Nashville region.
Clermont holds a master's degree in city and regional planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Florida State University. He garnered several years of community development and project management experience before joining Ruppert’s Maryland landscape construction branch in 2015 as an assistant project manager. He was promoted to production manager before transferring to the Georgia landscape construction branch in 2017, where he served as a project manager for two years before being promoted to operations manager in early 2020. In 2021, he took the opportunity to relocate to Nashville to help open the satellite office in the role of associate branch manager.
“This team is very talented and eager to take on the complex and challenging projects that come our way,” said Clermont. “Nashville is one of the fastest-growing markets in the country and has a strong economy and diverse culture. We are looking forward to continuing to build our team and tapping into the skilled and engaged workforce that this community has to offer.”
Ruppert’s Tennessee branch serves large-scale landscape construction projects in the Nashville, Memphis and Knoxville regions. This includes Davidson, Williamson, Robertson, Sumner, Rutherford, Cheatham, Wilson, Shelby, Tipton, Fayette and Knox Counties. Services include estimating and preconstruction services and installation of landscape, hardscape, special decorative structures, and irrigation and water management.
