Turf Masters Lawn Care Creates New Roles As It Continues To Grow

Company has seen double-digit growth in each of the past five years

Turf Masters Lawn Care has recently announced the creation of new positions within the company as well as some internal promotions.

Company representatives say Turf Masters had double digit growth in each of the past five years and does not plan to slow. As the company grows, they plan to promote from within as often as possible and also build a talent pipeline for future needs.

In November, Sara Stephenson was hired as operating systems director, to serve  direct the development, installation and modification of the company’s computer operating systems and explore future needs as Turf Masters continues to grow.

The company’s latest move was to bring promote regional sales manager Matt Crowley to the newly created position of director of talent acquisition and development.

Crowley will focus his time on building those pipelines for current and future job openings, and leading all sourcing strategies in this newly created position at the company.

He will manage the company’s external partnerships with colleges, job boards and human resource software vendors, and participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of Turf Masters.

Crowley has almost 19 years in the lawn care industry and joined Turf Masters in 2017.

“As we continue to grow, it is important that we have a network of potential future hires in all positions across all our markets, current and future,” said Brian Butler, President of Turf Masters Lawn Care.  “I look forward to Matt's success in his new role and recruiting top talent to join our team.”

The company also announced Andy Ferrell’s promotion to regional sales manager.

Ferrell will provide sales support to Chip Tovey, director of sales, and help ensure that the weekly, monthly and annual sales budgets are met or exceeded.

In addition, he will oversee other budgeted and non-budgeted metrics, such as new sale cancel rates, call-ahead percentages and discounts, to ensure goals are met or improved.  Ferrell will also assist in recruiting to meet sales staffing needs and provide training coaching and leadership to OSRs and branch managers.

“I am confident Andy will succeed in his new role of supporting our sales team, Branch Managers and Chip, and driving our company to sales success,” Butler added.

John Coppola, who has more than 30 years in the industry, replaces Ferrell as branch manager for the Greenville location.
