Man Arguing with his Mother Kills Lawn Worker who Tried to Intervene

A man who was arguing with his mother fatally shot a lawn worker who tried to intervene, Cedar Hill, Texas, police say.

When officers arrived, they found a 54-year-old man dead inside the home. The woman identified her son, 24-year-old Jeremy C. Mobley, as the shooter.

Police believe that the incident began as a dispute between Mobley and his mother.

When the victim—a man hired by the homeowner to do yardwork—attempted to intervene, Mobley pulled out a pistol and shot him multiple times, police said.
