Hilltip Introduces IceStriker 2000-3300 SSA/SSC Salt Spreader
Hilltip has launched of the IceStriker 2000-3300 SSA/SSC stainless steel salt spreaders, designed for use on three-quarter-ton trucks. The IceStriker is designed with the capabilities of spreading bulk sand, and gravel, bulk/bag salt, sand-salt mixers, and fertilizers.
Per the company’s press release, the spreader is designed to provide consistent material flow to the spinner, the SSA version includes a 6-in., stainless steel, 3-pitch auger, and the SSC version is equipped with a 12-in. pintle chain system. All models include a stainless steel flip-up chute designed to spread salt in environments with high humidity, and a tarp kit to help keep spreading materials dry.
Features of the IceStriker 2000-3300 SSA/SSC Salt Spreader include:
- Capacities of 2.0, 2.65 and 3.3 cu yds.
- Two-way GPRS communication channel allows application rates to be remotely set and adjusted for each customer’s site depending on weather condition

Fisher Trailblazer Mid-Duty UTV Straight Blade Plows
Fisher has released the Trailblazer Mid-Duty UTV Straight Blade Plows designed with hydraulic blade controls, allowing users to adjust the blade from inside the cab. The Sway-Frame design allows for the blade to shift from side-to-side to help prevent hard-packed snow. Per the company’s press release, the plow provides users with professional-grade features in a lightweight design for mid-duty recreational utility vehicles.
Features of the Trailblazer Mid-Duty UTV Straight Blade Plows include:
- Constructed of 14-gauge powder-coated steel moldboard that is 5 or 6 ft. wide with a standard 5-in. steel cutting edge

Western Products has introduced the Drop 250 and Drop 600 spreaders that can fit on most UTVs, compact tractors, or wheel loaders for sidewalks, walking paths, and other paved surfaces. Both spreaders provide spread widths of 30, 33, or 36 in. in a drop pattern so the salt stays where the vehicle drives.

SnowEx has launched the HELIXX Hopper Spreaders designed with a plug-and-play liquid upgrade kit, users have the ability to spread pre-wet materials as well as spray liquid brine directly onto the driving surface for anti-icing applications. Per the company’s press release, the exclusive HELIXX material delivery system has an innovative corkscrew design to help prevent clogging and provide superior material flow compared to traditional augers.
Features of the SnowEx HELIXX Hopper Spreaders include:
- Available in multiple sizes for use on UTVs, light-duty and full-size pickups, flatbed trucks or dump-bed trucks
- Three spinner height adjustments (standard on the two largest models) allow the spreaders to achieve a consistent spinner height of 18-22 in. off the ground, regardless of vehicle type
- Available options and accessories include an inverted “V” for materials susceptible to compacting, strobe lights, secondary work light, ratchet straps, chain kit, pre-wet tanks, and spray boom

Buyers Products has announced the release of the SnowDogg VXXII plow mounts for class 4-6 trucks. The SnowDogg VXXII was designed with its wide wingspan and heavy-duty build, and specializes in clearing large amounts of heavy snow.
“Each iteration got closer and closer, but we weren’t going to settle for anything less than perfection. The feedback from the field testers was an integral, invaluable piece of this process,” said Scott Moorman, director of snow and ice equipment at Buyers Products.
