Quick Couplers that Enable Safe and Efficient Attachment Exchanges

Solesbee’s introduces its quick coupler as an efficient solution for operators to exchange excavator attachments from the safety of the cab. The coupler offers:

• A wedge-locking principal to connect to attachments in two places for an ideal locking force—the wedge locks at 1,730 PSI and unlocks at 3,455 PSI.
• The compatibility to be paired easily with buckets, rippers, rakes and mechanical grabs, as well as a wide range of demolition, forestry and land-clearing attachments.
• A safety knuckle that automatically engages onto the front pin, which can only be released by the operator, when connecting attachments.
• A self-adjusting wedge that locks the second pin to secure the attachment as soon as the lock switch is deactivated.
• Constant working pressure that continuously readjusts the wedge, keeping both pins firmly against the hitch, while two pressure-relief valves keep the hydraulic circuit from over-pressurizing, minimizing wear on locking components.
• The prevention of improperly connected attachments—which can lead to injuries and even fatalities—with step-by-step, in-cab controls and specific operator commands that are required to lock and unlock attachments, not only improving safety, but also speeding up the exchange process so attachments can be switched in minutes.
• The functionality to fully reattach the attachment to secure it if it doesn’t fully detach within a set timeframe.
