Outdoor home improvement experts Dean & Derek, the stars of DIY Network’s popular television programs “Rock Solid” and “Indoors Out”, are launching The Dean & Derek Show on BlogTalkRadio, with the first broadcast airing 7-9 pm ET on January 6. Displaying big personalities and a passion for outdoor design, co-hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns will use the BlogTalkRadio platform to empower homeowners and craftsman with their brand of fun, entertaining and educational do it yourself (DIY) expertise.
“Everyday we’re out in the construction field designing and installing. Adding television was a natural progression of that, and now branching out to radio with The Dean & Derek Show is the perfect fit,” said Derek Stearns, co-host. “We can get even closer to our fans through on-air calls so we’ll be able to really discuss the projects and products that matter most to our audience, and we’ll get to know them better at the same time. This show has been two years in the making, and we couldn’t be happier to launch and get started.”
“Our television shows, while informative and inspiring, have limits; there just isn’t enough time to get all the content we want into the show, not to mention the lack of interaction with fans,” said Dean Marsico, co-host. “Through radio, we can eliminate that barrier and get down to the good stuff with fans who call in. It might be a design or construction question, a funny family story, or even a favorite recipe – we’re looking forward to discussing it all on The Dean & Derek Show. Besides, what’s better than a talk show for two guys who love to talk?”
Weekly episodes of The Dean & Derek Show will take place every Thursday from 7-9 p.m. ET at The Dean & Derek Show.
Through The Dean & Derek Show, fans can get closer to the celebrated co-hosts than ever before and enjoy the casual, sarcastic, and lighthearted tone that makes these two hosts so endearing. In addition to regular features including construction advice, project overviews, Q&A, special guests, and a celebration of American products and services, the radio program will allow fans to join the fun via call-in or instant message.
