SiteOne Landscape Supply is now offering Arkon Herbicide Liquid, a new solution from PBI-Gordon for postemergent control of sedges, kyllingas and other broadleaf weeds.
“At SiteOne, we are always looking for new products to help our customers better serve their customers and clients,” said Kevin Laycock, director of category management for agronomics. “Arkon is one of the newest broadleaf herbicides available, and we are very proud to be able to offer it to the hardworking landscape and golf professionals who depend on SiteOne.”
Approved in 2023 by the Environmental Protection Agency for use in most U.S. states except California and Alaska, Arkon is labeled for application on established cool- and warm-season turfgrass species across a wide range of landscapes, including residential and commercial lawns, golf course greens, fairways and roughs, other sports facilities and sod farms.
SiteOne carries Arkon in the following container volumes:
- Arkon Post Emergent Herbicide, 1 gallon
- Arkon Post Emergent Herbicide, 2.5 gallon
- Arkon Post Emergent Herbicide, 30 gallon
Arkon employs Pyrimisulfan a new, proprietary active ingredient to control post-emergent broadleaf weeds of several types. Research indicates the liquid herbicide also reduces both the overall number and viability of nutsedge tubers to help reduce future emergence. Arkon underwent many years of independent and proprietary testing, including prelaunch use by hundreds of turfgrass professionals to verify effectiveness and ease of application. Arkon products are restricted and can be sold only to licensed lawn care operators in accordance with their state laws.
