PBI-Gordon Named Preferred Supplier of Segway Fungicide SC

Segway Fungicide SC treats pythium diseases on both cool- and warm-season turf, PBI-Gordon to begin selling to distributors on May 17.

PBI-Gordon Corporation is the new preferred supplier of Segway Fungicide SC, a well-established product effective at treating pythium diseases that can plague cool- and warm-season turf. Segway Fungicide SC is a proprietary product of Japan-based Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd. (ISK).

PBI-Gordon will begin selling Segway Fungicide SC to distributors on May 17, 2014 for use on turf and landscape ornamentals. The fungicide uses the active ingredient cyazofamid to provide preventative control of pythium root dysfunction, pythium blight and damping-off in turf, and phytopthora crown and root rots, and pythium crown and root rots in landscape ornamentals. Segway has been marketed for seven years and has reportedly demonstrated excellent results in university tests and in end-user field applications.

This is not the first product supply partnership between PBI-Gordon and ISK. PBI-Gordon’s Katana Turf Herbicide is also a proprietary product of ISK.
