As reported by clevelandbanner.com, a Cleveland, TN, lawn company is looking to provide free basic lawn maintenance service to a family in need this season.
“We are looking for somebody in need. They could be sick. They could have cancer. It could be a single mother with kids … elderly people,” said Steven Hawk of Vanguard Lawn Care. Military veterans and veterans’ families are also a good fit. All are encouraged to visit Vanguard Lawn Care’s website to enter into the drawing. The opportunity is open to residents of Bradley and Polk counties. People can also enter friends and family into the drawing. The deadline is March 15.
The free service will include mowing, trimming and edging, as well as cleanup. Hawk says the mowing season typically starts in April and lasts six to eight months depending on how warm it stays.
Hawk says he plans to make this an annual event.
