With the introduction of the next generation of its patented RED Technology, Exmark provides performance, power, efficiency and versatility with its Lazer Z and Lazer Z Diesel commercial zero-turn mowers. Exmark says the features of its next-generation RED Technology includes:
- The ability to control mower power and efficiency with defined performance modes.
- A console-mounted LCD monitor screen that monitors mower functions, and reports operation and property statistics, maintenance reminders and troubleshooting information.
- The flexibility to operate at a lower RPM level without sacrificing performance or cut quality, which reduces fuel consumption, noise and component wear.
- The ability to monitor machine performance parameters and place the mower in safe transport mode (reduced RPM and clutch disengaged) if a critical engine or system issue is detected.
- Three multi-function push buttons that allow the user to select from three operating (RPM) modes or navigate the menu screens.
- A clutch saver feature, which momentarily reduces engine RPM when the clutch is engaged to ease component stress and wear, and can engage the cutting deck on the fly.
- A selection of six customizable engine speed set points for low, efficient and maximum modes, with or without the power take-off (PTO) engaged.
- A control module that is linked to the mower model and serial number, allowing accurate tracking of service and usage data.
- Machine health tracking and on-screen notifications when engine or transmission oil changes are due.
- The on-screen display of an error/troubleshooting code when the system detects an error, while service history and error codes are logged for later reference.
- RED-equipped electronic fuel injection (EFI) gasoline Kawasaki (Lazer Z S-Series) and Kohler (Lazer Z X-Series) engine options, as well as RED-equipped Yanmar diesel engines on Lazer Z Diesel models.
