Dvorak designed its Spider all-terrain mowers in a compact profile with powerful gas engines and a low center of gravity, so they’re highly maneuverable and productive. Because these mowers are remote-controlled, they negate any health and safety issues associated with operators mowing steep banks, plus they can work on slopes up to 55 degrees and—in the case of the Spider ILD02 and 2SGS—up to 60 degrees. More specifically, according to the company:

  • The Spider ILD01 has a cutting width of 32 inches, an adjustable cutting height ranging from 1 to 3 inches and a weight of just 613 pounds.
  • The Spider ILD02 boasts a cutting width of 48.5 inches, an adjustable cutting height ranging from 2.8 to 5.5 inches and a weight of 809 pounds.
  • The Spider 2SGS, which is based on the Spider ILD02, but was specially adapted for working under the panels on solar farms.
  • The Spider 3RIDER, the largest and most productive in the range, comes equipped with a 24.9-HP Kubota diesel engine that powers a unique out-front deck with the operator sitting on the mower like any standard machine. However, when the terrain exceeds 15 degrees, the operator climbs off the machine and continues to control it remotely from a safe position away from the machine. It has a 5-fopt, 3-inch cutting width delivering a quality cut of 2.4 acres an hour, even in difficult conditions.
