Toro recently made its HoverPro hover mower available to landscape contractors across North America. Previously only available in commercial golf and sports field segments through Toro distributors, the HoverPro can now be purchased through authorized Toro equipment dealers as well. The Toro HoverPro is also highlighted by:
- The ability to hover above the surface of turf during operation, allowing it to reach areas that traditional mowers and trimmers cannot.
- Suitability for specialty applications, such as maintaining turf on steep slopes, tight undulations or areas near water.
- Three models—which include the HoverPro 400 with a 16-inch cutting width, a 25-degree operational angle, a nylon wire cutting system and a weight of 27.5 pounds; the HoverPro 450 with an 18-inch cutting width, a 45-degree operational angle, a steel cutting blade and a weight of 38.2 pounds; and the HoverPro 550 with a 21-inch cutting width, a 45-degree operational angle, a steel cutting blade and a weight of 41.8 pounds—to tackle a variety of applications.
- A light footprint and rugged design to promote both maneuverability and durability, making light work of challenging terrain.
- A 57-cc Honda engine on the HoverPro 400, and a 160-cc Honda engine on the HoverPro 450 and 550 engines.
- An acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) injection-molded deck that contributes to a strong, yet lightweight frame, which optimizes control and stability in extreme conditions and cutting areas.
- A number of optional accessories, such as a high-rise kit to increase the height of cut by 1.4 inches, transport wheels to maneuver the machine with less effort around the jobsite and extension handles to simplify the process of working on slopes.
