Makita U.S.A., Inc., recently launched three new 18V X2 LXT (36V) brushless cordless lawn mowers the XML06, XML07 and XML08.

The 120mm purpose-built brushless motor in all three lawn mowers is Makita’s largest brushless motor and delivers power equivalent to gas-powered mowers.

“Because of new regulations, professional landscapers are seeking alternatives to gas-powered equipment, and Makita has the answer with more battery-powered solutions,” said Romique Talton, senior product manager, outdoor power equipment. “No other company has a legacy of engineering experience in both gas-powered and cordless equipment like Makita, and that engineering legacy is at work inside these three powerful new lawn mowers. These lawn mowers are part of an expanding range of cordless outdoor power equipment that’s revolutionizing the way work is done without the noise, emissions and maintenance of gas equipment.”

The XML06, XML07, and XML08 feature a commercial-grade steel deck, IPX4 weather-resistant construction, and a single lever cutting height adjustment with 10 optional cutting heights.

Each model has durable handles for loading on and off trucks, therefore do not fold. The exclusive blade design reduces drag and maintains speed when cutting.  The XML08 and XML07 offer a 21” cutting width and can cut up to 1/2 an acre using four 5.0Ah LXT Batteries, while the XML06 can cut up to 2/5 of an acre. These two cordless lawn mowers offer mulching, bagging and side discharge options for debris.

The Makita® 18V X2 LXT® Brushless Cordless Lawn Mowers provide longer run time and power equivalent to gas lawn mowers.

The XML06 and XML08 are both self-propelled models. The self-propel function makes mowing effortless with variable speeds from 1.5 MPH to 3 MPH.

Technology

For added durability Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT is a series of integrated seals engineered to channel away dust and water for increased durability. Makita Products equipped with XPT are engineered for increased durability and longer tool life. Quiet Mode reduces noise by providing constant speed control. Quiet Mode sets RPMs to a certain speed, so there are no sudden increases in speed. With a constant speed, the noise from the mower also remains at a constant level. This is a benefit for cutting grass in a residential area, on a school campus, or other settings that are resistant to excessive noise.

Benefits of Cordless Outdoor Power Equipment

Makita LXT Cordless Power Equipment eliminates the hassles of gas with zero emissions, lower noise, and reduced maintenance. The cordless lawn mowers operate at a lower noise level, providing user comfort and preventing a disruption for neighbors or nearby businesses. With no need for gas or oil, the battery-powered lawn mowers require less maintenance and have zero emissions.
