GRAND AWARDS

Gulf Coast Town Center – ValleyCrest Landscape Management, Fort Myers/Naples, FL. The Gulf Coast Town Center is a complete shopping experience featuring a village-like setting on over 60 lush acres. The expansive, highly trafficked center differentiates itself in the marketplace with a landscape designed to enhance the comfortable outdoor shopping and entertainment experience. The diverse plant palette showcases more than 500 flowering trees and over 400 native and exotic palms, many of which are over 30 feet in height and add a majestic feel. The landscape doesn’t just look pretty; it’s highly functional, especially in the activity areas where the turf areas sustain constant foot traffic.

Marlins Park – ValleyCrest Landscape Development, South Florida. Marlins Park is the country’s first ballpark to seek LEED certification. Construction of the field began in fall 2011. Sod installation began 60 days out from Opening Day on February 2nd and was fully complete—four days later—on February 6. ValleyCrest’s team also performed construction work including synthetic turf bullpens, batting tunnels, outfield wall padding, infield clay, home plate and all bases, a removable pitcher’s mound and foul ball netting, as well as a full irrigation system.

Sacramento Airport Central Terminal B – ValleyCrest Landscape Development, Sacramento, CA. In an effort to boost Sacramento County’s local economy, attract tourism and increase the amount of air carriers into the region, Sacramento Airport underwent a $1.1 billion renovation at its aging 40-year-old Terminal B. Appropriately nicknamed “The Big Build,” the new Central Terminal B is the largest public construction capital improvement project in Sacramento County to date. ValleyCrest worked as a subcontractor to Austin-Walsh to complete the landscape amenities associated with the terminal, including drainage, hardscape, masonry, irrigation, landscape planting, site furnishings and stormwater management.

MERIT AWARD

Turtle Run Community Development District – ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, Coral Springs, FL. Turtle Run consists of 630 acres of commercial and residential property, parks, schools, and water management areas. ValleyCrest maintains approximately 35 acres of landscaped right-of-ways, medians, and park areas and is responsible for all aspects of landscape maintenance throughout the community and the native wildlife preserve, as well as irrigation water management and porter service. Extensive irrigation work provided the customer with an estimated water usage savings of over 50%.

RECOGNITION AWARD

The Japanese Garden at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, & Botanical Gardens – ValleyCrest Landscape Development, Pre-Construction Services & ValleyCrest Landscape Development, Los Angeles. Located in San Marino, CA, the world-renowned Japanese Garden is a landmark cultural destination that has been one of the Huntington's most popular gardens for many years. In preparation for its 100-year anniversary and in an effort to restore its original splendor, the Huntington engaged ValleyCrest to master plan a large-scale renovation and addition. Planning began in January 2010 and culminated with the grand re-opening of the Japanese Garden in April 2012, just in time to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
