Trecan Combustion Snowmelters
Trecan Combustion has been designing and manufacturing snowmelters for over 50 years. The company offers 10 different models of portable melters, in addition to stationary snowmelters that can achieve capacities ranging from 20 tons/hour to over 1,200.
The portable models require only 1.45 gallons (5.6 liters) of diesel fuel to melt one ton of snow. They can be towed to various locations. Snow-melting capacities range from 15 to 350 tons/hour.
Trecan says its snowmelters are 98% efficient due to their unique submerged combustion technology. Also, the low water discharge temperature leads to great fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
