Jared Medhus, sales manager at Ignite Attachments, discusses what’s trending with contractors, green industry outlook and more.

Green Industry Pros: What industry trends and challenges are you seeing?

Medhus: We’re at a pretty uncertain economic time, so there’s nothing guaranteed. But overall, a lot of homeowners are happy with what contractors are doing and are wanting to take care of their piece of property. So, there’s growth in the industry.

Supply chain challenges have got a lot better, and that’s been great for us. We don’t have very complicated equipment, and everything is made in the U.S.

Green Industry Pros: Can you talk about what you’re showcasing here at Equip Expo?

Medhus: We decided to go with the mini grapple so contractors can get their small compact equipment through gates or into tight spaces. This allows them to get to where they need to be in order to do the work instead of, for example,  tearing down a fence (to get to a jobsite).

One of the things that we did is the dual interface, so we can work with any compact track loader with just swapping four volts. So, it’s super easy for anybody to deal with that.

Our brush is a little more expensive, but you also get a much better view for your safety, there are fewer accidents and there’s less maintenance. With six bolts, you can drop the entire broom out and flip it around. It takes about five minutes to swap it out. It's just a bunch of small little tweaks that went into different things that we do.
