Caterpillar 306 CR Next Generation Mini-excavator

The 306 CR mini hydraulic excavator marks Caterpillar’s entry into the 6-ton class offering. It is built to offer strong performance, enhanced operator experience and simplified maintenance with extended service intervals.

• Offers a maximum dig depth of 162 in with the long stick option and 15,821-lb. maximum operating weight when equipped with the sealed and pressurized cab
• Includes a swing boom and compact radius design for a 58-in. tailswing with counterweight
• Provides a lift capacity of up to 7,839 lbs. at a 9.8-ft. radius, plus enhanced uphill swing torque and increased cycle times
• Fuel-saving, load-sensing hydraulic system with an electronically controlled variable-displacement piston pump generates 46-gpm hydraulic oil flow
• High flow rate of 24 gpm to the auxiliary circuit enables operation of demanding hydromechanical attachments
• Cat C2.4 turbo diesel engine rated at 55.9 net hp meets Tier 4 Final standards and includes automatic engine idle and shutdown features
• Sealed and pressurized cabin lowers in-cab operating noise levels to 72 dB(A) and is heated and air-conditioned; canopy option will be available in 2020 
• Next Generation LCD monitor provides easy-to-read machine information, jog-dial for simple navigation and standard Bluetooth capability
• Switch from conventional lever/foot-pedal steering controls to the standard Stick Steer system with the touch of a button
• Straight blade, angled blade and extra tool carrier (XTC) configurations available
• Shares a similar controls layout and common components with the full line of Next Generation mini-excavators
