One deserving military service member from Dodge, Columbia or Fond du Lac County in Wisconsin will win a $10,000 yard makeover for his or her home or the home of an immediate family member this summer.
Presented by Beaver Dam Landscape Supply, The Ultimate Yard Makeover Contest is open to military service members who are currently serving a tour of duty, or who have served anytime from 2001 to the present. Nominations are open from April 1 through May 15, 2012. The winner will be announced on May 30, with the landscape project scheduled to be completed by early summer.
Beaver Dam Landscape Supply (BDLS), a Division of Tom Vogt Excavating LLC, is inviting area landscape and outdoor improvement businesses to partner in this contest to honor the area’s active military service members. In addition to showing gratitude to members of the military and their family, the contest demonstrates how area landscape and outdoor improvement businesses can come together for a greater cause. Partners will be making donations of product and labor for the makeover project. In addition, FFA Chapters and qualified community volunteers will be participating in the creation of the ultimate yard.
Members of the community have until May 15 to nominate deserving local military service members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard. Nomination forms are available at Beaver Dam Landscape Supply, located on Hwy 33 between Beaver Dam and Fox Lake at N8559 Hwy 33, Beaver Dam at www.beaverdamlandscapesupply.com, or on the BDLS Facebook page under “Events.” Nomination forms can also be requested by calling Beaver Dam Landscape Supply at (920) 296-7332.
Community nursery and improvement businesses currently joining Beaver Dam Landscape Supply include Paul’s Turf and Tree Nursery, Marshall; Ren’s Nursery, Waupun; Rochester Concrete Products, Juneau; and Rohde’s Nursery LLC, Neshkoro.
