OSHA Fines Seattle-area Landscape Company After Worker Death

Six-figure fine for inadequate training and lack of proper safety procedures that led to death inside bark-blower hopper.

As reported by Q13 Fox in Seattle, a landscaping company located roughly 30 miles from Seattle has pled guilty to violating worker safety regulations that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old employee.

The employee died while working inside the hopper of a bark-blowing truck. He was struck by a rotating auger.

OSHA found that the company provided a lack of training and proper safety procedures.
