Unveiled in fall 2014, Grasshopper's compact and economical 125V (pictured) and 225V zero-turn mowers retain the same professional-quality craftsmanship as other Grasshoppers, the company assures. Features include:
- Fully hydraulic, integrated pump-and-wheel-motor transmissions
- 747cc Kohler Confidant engines (with a limited three-year engine manufacturer warranty)
- 5.5-inch, extra-deep cutting decks with foot-pedal and drop-pin height adjustment
- Large turf-style drive tires
- Fully cushioned Cordura-covered seats with padded armrests
The Model 125V can be equipped with a 48- or 52-inch deck, while Model 225V can accept 52- and 61-inch decks.
These two models beef up Grasshopper's V-Series lineup, which includes the 226V with a 48-, 52- or 61-inch deck and 26-hp Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf Series V-twin engine.
Grasshopper says its V-Series mowers provide the agility of a zero-turn with a compact size capable of maneuvering in tight spaces without the fatigue of a walk-behind. These compact power units are well-suited for contractors who maintain small-acreage and confined areas, as well as ranchers, farmers and rural lifestylers. Plus, small footprint of these mowers also allows for easy transport on trailers and space-saving storage in shops, garages or small outbuildings.
