Top Elements of Outdoor Living Spaces

Qualified Remodeler magazine, a Green Industry Pros sister publication, teamed with Houzz.com back in December to host a webinar examining what's popular in exterior design, drawing from detailed outdoor living and landscape data from the 2013 Houzz and Home Survey. (Houzz is a leading online platform for home remodeling and design, providing people with everything they need to improve their homes from start to finish.)

Among the webinar's attendees were more than 100 landscape contractors. Those contractors were asked what they felt was the most-requested outdoor living-space feature by homeowners. The results said:

Fire Pit – 53%

Pergola/Arbor – 20%

Built-in Kitchen – 10%

Water Feature – 10%
