Caterpillar introduces its gasoline-powered Cat CUV85 and diesel-powered CUV105D utility vehicles with a spacious second row to accommodate five people. Other features, according to the company, include:

  • 1,000 pounds of total rear cargo capacity and 2,000 pounds of towing capacity for performance in a variety of applications.
  • A four-wheel independent suspension system with a front sway bar for stability at full load.
  • A long swing-arm suspension, custom-tuned springs and shocks to strike a balance between smooth rides and hauling loads.
  • Ample ground clearance to navigate rough terrain with ease.
  • Speeds of up to 45 MPH, depending on the model.
  • A 0.8-L three-cylinder gasoline engine delivering 50 HP on the CUV85, while the 1.0-L three-cylinder diesel engine delivers 25 HP on the CUV105D.
  • An intuitive column shifter that permits the driver to easily maneuver through all the gears.
  • A continuously variable transmission, tuned specifically for work applications, offering smooth transitions and the ability to handle loads.
  • Availability of two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive or four-wheel drive/lock modes to match the vehicle drive to ground conditions.
  • A steel cargo bed.
  • Behind-the-seat storage and a document holder to provide space for personal items and gear.
